I just took these a couple of days ago. Deacon is getting to be such a chunk. I think he weighs around 10 pouinds or so. He is such a sweetie, and so is that little girl of ours!!
These are our two little princesses. Snow White loved to put her hands in her mouth and Cinderella loved to look everywhere else but at the camera…guess she is looking for her Prince Charming.

Deacon’s first photo. He was a big boy. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and came into the world with a loud screech. We call him our little screech owl because he sounds like one when he is hungry or angry that he has a dirty diaper. I am amazed at how much he looks like Emma’s baby pictures.

Mommy holding Deacon!! I am a little swollen still, but very happy to be leaving the hospital. We stayed a total of 4 days and 3 nights. Both Ross and I were happy to be back home and get into the groove of having two kids instead of just one.

We are about to leave and Deacon in his car seat for the very first time. He was a great traveler. He did so well in the car. Mommy even got to sit in the front like a grown up!! He is such a cutie and we are so happy that he is here.
Here are a couple of photos of our newest arrival, Deacon to our family. We have more, but I wanted to get something online for all our friends to see. He is doing great and so sweet. Our first night home was less than ideal, but we are hoping for better nights in the future.
Here are some pics…

Proud big sister, holding her baby brother for this first time!!
Well…last Monday my dream of having my sister move in right across the street from my house actually came true. I am now happy to say that is takes about 20 seconds to get from my house to her house.
Their house is beautiful and they have done a lot of work to it. I am still in shock that she is that close, but I know I will get use to it really, really fast. The girls love seeing each other everyday and being that close.
What a wonderful blessing!!
We had a great family vacation in Destin this year. We plyaed on the beach, ate a lot of good seafood and tried not to get too much sun..
Ross and Emma at the beach at one evening. Notice who Emma has in her hands!!
Yummy, yummy Cheetos….our favorite snack. We had a great week. It was a ton of fun!!
Well…I can’t believe Ross and I are proud parents of a 2 year old. Yes, Emma turned two on Monday, April 21st. Both Ross and I couldn’t believe just how fast and how amazing these past two years have been. Here are some of the life lessons we have learned from our little Emma…
Take time out to swing every once in a while.
Life is much better holding rocks and singing Rock A Bye Baby.
You can never give away too many hugs and kisses.
Elmo and Ernie have a mischievious side too.
Nobody can wipe away the pain like Mommy and Daddy.
There’s no such thing as too much cake and ice cream!!
We feel so blessed to have been given such an amazing gift from our Lord and Savior. Each day we wake up and thank God for another day with Emma in our lives. She has taught us both so many things about our relationship with God and how He must feel at times with us…frustrated and loving at the same time.
On another note we anxiously await the arrival of the second baby in October. Even though it feels so long away, I know it will be here sooner than I realize. We had a sonogram a couple of weeks ago because we had a little scare and found out first of all everything was okay. We also found out that we are probably going to be having a BOY!! We won’t know for sure until a couple more weeks but we are excited regardless of the sex. This pregnancy has been very trying at times both physically and emotionally. At the end of it all, we both truly desire a healthy child, blue or pink doesn’t matter.
Well everyone, that is pretty much what has been going on with us. When I stop being lazy and download Emma’s birthday pictures I will add them to our blog.
Who knew wearing mom’s clothes could be so much fun. And of course we had to accessorize with the belt.
Well…I have heard enough of people talking about how bad my blog is, so I am going to finally write a post about what we have been up to. The past couple months have been filled with excitement, surprises, and some sadness as well.
About six weeks ago Ross and I found out that we are expecting another baby. The baby will be due in Ocotber, actually on Ross’ birthday. We were so excited and couldn’t wait to tell everyone. Praise the Lord for this answer to our prayers and many others.
We have had quite a crazy time this month. Ross’ aunt passed away a week ago and so we drove up to Amarillo to be with his family and to go to the funeral. It was a sad time but it was good to be with family. After that we headed home on Tuesday and then Emma and I hopped back into the car on Wednesday and drove down to Pearsall to be with my family for Easter. It was great weather and we had a great time. It was sad to leave, but also good to get back home.
Other than that, things are going really well. I hope to start doing better butting more blogs on our website, but don’t hold your breath. I’m not very good at remembering to do it. Keep your finers crossed and we’ll see what happens
